San Diego, California SUBJ ECT: SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT, AMENDMENT APPLICATION DATED SEPTEMBER 10, 1992, RE RADIOLOGICAL CONTINGENCY PLAN (RCP)
Backaround GA is authorized by its license to reviso its RCP provided that Plan. the revision does not reduce the effectiveness of the By application dated September 10, 1992, CA submitted an updated Plcn. The RCP was submitted as a change to the current Plan and as an addition to the pending licenso renewal application.
Discussion The changes to the Plan involve updating program names, points of contact, phone numbers, and the locations of the various organizations involved in the Plan. GA has also added a new section to address GA's compliance with the applicable portions of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act.
GA has revised the licenso to add'the date of this revision.
Conclusion / Recommendation The staff agrnos with GA's conclusion that the revisions do not reduce the effectivenecs of the RCP. The proposed amendment is for the convenience of the Commission in maintaining current references to the RCP.
The Region V Principal Inspector has no objection-to this proposed action.
