C EMERGENCY ORGANIZATION NOTIFICATION AND ACTIVATION 1.0 Purpose The purpose of this procedure is to delineate the steps necessary to activate the Nuclear Generation Department (NGD) Eneraency Organization and to delineate the notifications to be made by NGD for Notification of Unusual Event, Alert, Site Area Emergency, General Emergency, Fire and Personnel Emeraency.

2.0 Scope This procedure applies to the NGD General Office staff. Applicabi-lity of sections is as follows:

EMERGENCY COORDINATOR

  • Section 5.1.1 (pp. 3) and 5.1.2 (pp. 3) for all emergencies.
  • Section 5.1.3 (ca. 4) and 5.1.5 (op. 7) if Emeroency Organization is to be activated.

  • Section 5.1.4 (pg. 6) and 5.1.6 (pa. 8) if Emeroency Oroanization is to be placed on standby.

GO-EIP-111 r~T 4.2 The Superintendent-Regulatory and Procedural Control is respons-()

ible for updating all names and phone numbers cuarterly. Names and phone numbers will be verified annually.

4.3 An on-call duty roster will be issued ouarterly and maintained with copies of this procedure issued to the Emergency Coordina-tors and the Flintridge Emergency Operations Center. Copies of the duty roster will be sent to each affected individual. Emer-gency positions included in the duty roster shall be:

1) Emergency Coordinator
2) Activation and Lootstics Assistant
3) Engineerina & Licensing Support Director
4) Administrative Support Director
5) Dose Assessment Director

() 6) Public Information Site Coordinator

7) Dose Assessment Support When deviations are made from the oublished roster due to company business or personal reasons, the on-call individual is respons-ible for arranging on-call coverage and verbal notifications of I

deviations will be made as follows:

1) Deviation from on-call Emergency Coordinator - notify l

on-call Emergency Director l 2) Deviation from other on-call positions - notify on-call Emergency Coordinator.

] 5.0. Activation of Emeroency Oroanization 5.1 In the event of an emeroency condition at FHD, the Emergency Director will notify the Emergency Coordinator directly or through the radio dispatch room at the Birmingham Division's Customer Ser-vice Center. Upon notification the Emeroencv Coordinator will:

Peouest that Security inform the EOC (783-6206), once transportation is finalized, of the mobile radio call numbers for security vehicles being used.

Departure location for security transportation is the General Services Complex in Shelby County.

  • Contact the on-call Public Information Site Coordinator EC Initials / Tine and recuest that he activate the Corocrate Communication Emercency Oroanization. If transportation is by plane or security vehicle, notify him of departure time and location.

  • Contact the on-call Activation and Logistics Assistant EC Initials / fine and direct him to activate the Flintridae Emergency Doerations Center (EOC).
  • Contact the followino on-call individuals and notify them of the condition and decision to activate. If plane or secerity vehicle transportation is to be used, notify them of departure time and locatien.

5.1.4 If a decision is made to place the Emeroency Oroanization on standby, notify the following as deemed necessary by the Re-covery Manager.

EC InitialsRim and reouest that he place the Corporate Communication Emergency Organization on standby. If the Flintridge EOC is to be activated, reouest that the Public Information EOC Coordinator be activated.
