Sample analysis indicated a boron concentration of 1653 ppm which was below-the minimum boron concentration of 1720 ppm specified in Technical Specification 3.5.4. Concentrated boric acid was added and a'ample taken one hour later indicated a boron concentration greater that 1720 ppm. This was the second occurrence at St. Lucie Unit 1 affecting a borated water source, however, the two occurrences were unrelated with respect to cause. The first occurrence (335-76-32) involved a leaking gasket on a relief valve in the boric acid makeup system. (335-76-33).
