Dear Mr. Molden:

This letter confirms the discussion between Mr. Atif Shaikh of my staff and Mr. Glen Adams of your staff, for a public meeting scheduled at 1:00 p.m. CST on Thursday, October 4, 2012. The purpose of this meeting is for Northern States Power Company to discuss the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Unit 2 planned steam generator replacement activities. This meeting will be held at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region III office, located at 2443 Warrenville Road in Lisle, IL. This meeting will be open to the public. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion but before the meeting is adjourned.
