1) Letter from Ashok Bhatnagar (TVA) to NRC, Bellefonte Nuclear Plant (BLN) Units 1 (CPPR-1 22) and 2 (CPPR-123) dated August 10, 2009.This letter confirms the timely renewal of the Bellefonte NPDES Permit AL0024635, issued on November 24, 2009, by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.

The permit is effective on December 1, 2009, and expires on November 30, 2014. Consistent with the Commission Policy Statement on Deferred Plants and Section 5.3 of NRC's "Plan for Assessment of Tennessee Valley Authority Request to Transition to Deferred Plant Status", the permits and licenses applicable to the Bellefonte Units in deferred plant status are current and valid.I declare under pen aty, of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.Executed on this 2 day of _.e , 2009.a k A.
