OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, DOCUMENTATION OF DECISION (TAC NO. MC9692)By letter dated January 24, 2006, as supplemented by letter dated April 18, 2006,AmerGen Energy Company, LLC requested Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff approval of a revision to the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station emergency action levels. The purpose of this memorandum is to document the decision to remove the Balance-of-Plant branch from concurrence on the safety evaluation. Although initially the Balance-of-Plant branch requestedto be on concurrence, upon review of the final package, it was decided that the responsibility forthe review was contained entirely within the Licensing and Regulatory Improvements Branch,Division of Preparedness and Response, Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response.
