Dear Mr. Price:

There has been considerable discussion in the local press about the possibility of a large nuclear reactor, of an ultimate capacity of 660,000

kilowatts, being constructed on. Bodega Head, a headland some six miles to windward of this station, and two ' miles to windward'of a sma11' fishing-community, whose gross fishing income is around 52 million a' year. _ We '

understand that the Atomic Energy Commission imposes certain restrictions of public access to the vicinity of nuclear reactors.. We realize, of. course,.

3 that this exclusion zone cannot be determined a priori, but will depend on the j

size and type of reactor and the local conditions. In order to get some estimate oftthe possible zones, we would appreciate a J atement_of the limits t

now in force or bnirm tronosed for sorse of the larger power reactors in the' f
