Dear Sir:

May I request that you deny.the Pacific Gas and Electric Company permission to put a nuclear plant on Bodega Read?

The location, as you know, is on tne California coast.

As you may not know, the heacland is an open and free place that should be visited and enjoyed by free people, to their lasting benefit, not defiled and degraded by a dangerous and noxious utility.

Tnere are numbers of ugly places in California that are not underlain by cangerous earthquake faults.

Let Pacific Gas seek out those places, and not the permanently irreplaceable spots.

In the Olmstead Report of 1929 Bodega Head was earmarked l

for inclusion in our state park system.

Pacific Gas and Electric Corporation knows, or should know, tnat fact.

To deliberately ignore it, and to replace the park proposal with a continuing threat to humanity is a crass perversion I

of the term "public service."

l Their nuclear " facility," enperched on a tricky and unpredictable fault line, defeats all logic and comnon sense in this day of anything for a quick buck.

In the face of such a clear and predictable danger your duty is to the l

public, not to the corporation.

This is a request that you act for the pepple.

It's our world, too.
