Gentlemen:

Reporting requirement 1.c of the subject bulletin requested a schedule for replacement of certain transmitters. In a letter dated July 31, 1990, Duquesne Light Company provided a proposed schedule.

Since the necessary replacement transmitter has not yet been delivered by the vendor, transmitter no. 2CCP*FT107B could not be replaced as committed. We now plan to replace this transmitter at the first outage of sufficient duration after the component is delivered.

We have also reviewed Rosemount's October 31, 1990 letter, which supplements the suspect list of transmitter serial numbers. No serial numbers contained on this new list were found to impact our original response to the bulletin.

Sincerely, J. D. Sieber Vice President Nuclear Group cc: Mr. J. B e a ? '. , Sr. Resident Inspector Mr. T. T. Martin, NRC Region I Administrator Mr. A. W. DeAgazio, Project Manager Mr. R. Saunders (VEPCO)
