The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) acknowledges the U.S. Department ofTransportation (DOT), Maritime Administration's (MARAD's) withdrawal of it's Post Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR) for the N.S. SAVANNAH, License No. NS-1, on January 26, 2007. MARAD submitted its PSDAR to NRC on November 27, 2006, to bring License No. NS-1 into compliance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.82 (a)(4)(I). As indicated in your January 27, 2007 letter, MARAD anticipates resubmitting the PSDAR after a reassessment of decommissioning activities for the N.S. SAVANNAH.This letter also acknowledges receipt of MARAD's Decommissioning Quality Assurance Plan,Rev. 0, dated October 31, 2006, for NRC review and approval. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) acknowledges the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administrations (MARADs) withdrawal of its Post Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR) for the N.S.
