By letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) dated January 20, 2011 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML110310012), Carolina Power & Light Company, doing business as Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc., submitted a license amendment request to revise Technical Specifications (TS) Section 3.8.3, "Diesel Fuel Oil and Starting Air,n and TS Section 3.8.5, "DC Sources -Shutdown", for the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit No.2. The NRC staff is reviewing your submittal and has determined that additional information is required to complete the review. The specific information requested is addressed in the enclosure to this letter. During a discussion with your staff on January 19, 2012, it was agreed that you would provide a response 30 days from the date of this letter.
