SUBJECT:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-083/2007-201
Dear Dr. Vernetson:
On January 22-25, 2007, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed an inspection at your University of Florida Test Reactor facility. The enclosed report documents the inspection results, which were discussed on January 25, 2007, with you, Dr. David Hintenlang, Chair of the Reactor Safety Review Subcommittee, and Don Munroe, University of Florida Radiation Control Officer.
The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to safety and compliance with the NRCs rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel. Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.
In accordance with Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, and requests for withholding, of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter, its enclosure, and your response (if any) will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, please contact Craig Bassett at 404-358-6515.
Sincerely,
/RA/
