October 17, 2018 U.S. Department of Homeland Security FEMA Region 6 800 N. Loop 288 Denton, TX 76209 FEMA Enclosed is a copy of the radiological emergency preparedness final report for the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, Medical and Reception Center Drill evaluated on September 12, 2018. FEMA Region VI staff evaluated the drills at the Lake Granbury Medical Center. There were no findings, and no plan issues. Based on the results of the drill, the planning and preparedness for the State of Texas and affected local jurisdictions provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken to protect public health and safety in the event of a radiological release. Therefore, 44 CFR Part 3 5 0 approval of the off site radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Texas -specific to the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant will remain in effect. A copy of this report was mailed to the NRC Headquarters Document Control Desk and a copy was transmitted electronically to RIV FEMADistribution@nrc.gov as specified in the FEMA REP Program Manual dated January 2016. Enclosed is a copy of the radiological emergency preparedness final report for the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, Medical and Reception Center Drill evaluated on September 12, 2018.
