We have reviewed the Washington State University Nuclear Radiation Center Reactor Staff Requalification Program dated January 16, 2008, submitted by letter dated August 29, 2009, and the revised Operator Requalification Program (Rev. 1/16/08; 5/5/11) submitted  by letter dated May 5, 2011, in response to our request for additional information dated April 11, 2011. Our review concludes that the revised operator requalification program meets the applicable requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 55, and the recommendations of the American National Standards Institute/American Nuclear Society (ANSI/ANS) Standard 15.4, "Selection and Training of Personnel for Research Reactors," and NUREG -1478, "Operator Licensing Examiner Standards for Research and Test Reactors."
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 "Public inspections, exemptions, and requests for withholding," a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
