Acceptance Review for Browns Ferry Units 1, 2, and 3, Regarding LAR for the Adoption of TSTF-535, Revision 0, "Revise Shutdown Margin Definition to Address Advanced Fuel Designs" (TS-502) (MF5823, MF5824, and MF5825)Gordon, In accordance with LIC-109, Acceptance Review Procedures, Revision 1, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has completed the acceptance review of the License Amendment Request submitted by letter dated March 9, 2015 (ML15068A407), from TVA for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3. The proposed changes would modify the TS definition of "Shutdown Margin" (SDM) to require calculation of the SDM at a reactor moderator temperature of 68°F or a higher temperature that represents the most reactive state throughout the operating cycle. | |||
