Sections 50.71(c) and 50.59(d)(3) and Criterion XVII of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50, as requested in your letter dated October 22, 2019. The partial exemption granted will eliminate the requirements to maintain records for certain systems, structures, and components associated with the Indian Point Nuclear Generating (Indian Point) Unit Nos. 2 and 3 that are no longer necessary when the respective units are permanently shut down and certification of permanent fuel removal is submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.82(a)(1).

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted the enclosed partial exemption from the recordkeeping requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR)
