| By letter dated November 4, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML 13295A674), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued interim staff evaluation and request for additional information regarding the overall integrated plan for implementation of Order EA-12-051, "Order Modifying Licenses with Regard to Reliable Spent Fuel Pool Instrumentation" (ADAMS Accession No. ML 12054A679). The letter stated, in part, that The licensee should provide the information requested in the 6-month status updates, as the information becomes available. However, the staff requests that all information be provided by October 31, 2014, to ensure that any issues are resolved prior to the date by which the licensee must complete full implementation of Order EA-12-051. The NRC staff recently noticed that date by which licensee was requested to provide all the information was erroneously stated as October 31, 2014, in place of March 31, 2014. The above statement is being revised to correct the date as follows: The licensee should provide the information requested in the 6-month status updates, as the information becomes available. However, the staff requests that all information be provided by March 31, 2014, to ensure that any issues are resolved prior to the date by which the licensee must complete full implementation of Order EA-12-051. Mr. Jack Hicks of your organization was verbally informed about the error on November 15, 2013. | | |

UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 November 19, 2013 Mr. Rafael Flores Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer Attention: Regulatory Affairs Luminant Generation Company LLC P.O. Box 1002 Glen Rose, TX 76043
SUBJECT:
COMANCHE PEAK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2-CORRECTION TO DATE RELATED TO INTERIM STAFF EVALUATION AND REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE OVERALL INTEGRATED PLAN FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF ORDER EA-12-051, RELIABLE SPENT FUEL POOL INSTRUMENTATION LETTER (TAC NOS. MF0862 AND MF0863)
Dear Mr. Flores:
By letter dated November 4, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13295A674), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued interim staff evaluation and request for additional information regarding the overall integrated plan for implementation of Order EA-12-051, "Order Modifying Licenses with Regard to Reliable Spent Fuel Pool Instrumentation" (ADAMS Accession No. ML12054A679).
The above statement is being revised to correct the date as follows:
The licensee should provide the information requested in the 6-month status updates, as the information becomes available. However, the staff requests that all information be provided by March 31, 2014, to ensure that any issues are resolved prior to the date by which the licensee must complete full implementation of Order EA-12-051.
Mr. Jack Hicks of your organization was verbally informed about the error on November 15, 2013.
R. Flores If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact me at 301-415-3016 or via e-mail at Balwant.Singal@nrc.gov.
