In 2007, we are beginning an outreach initiative to meet with county government officials, mayors, and tribal representatives local to the 16 nuclear power plants that we regulate within Region III. We plan to explain NRC's roleand mission and establish a point of contact in the event you have questions regarding NRC activities in the future. We would also like to tell you about our resident inspector program, security enhancements and other outreach activities that the NRC is conducting that may involve members of the public around the plant.I would like to meet with you at your office for a brief, informational meeting and plan oncontacting you in the next couple of weeks to establish a date and time.
