Exemption and TS Change regarding M5 Alloy Fuel Usage (TACs ME4911 and ME4912)
: Curt, As we have touched upon informally, I am sending you more this formal indication that in accordance with LIC-109, the NRC staff completed the acceptance review of the exemption request dated October 19, 2010, regarding M5 Alloy Fuel Usage. The NRC staff finds this exemption request to be acceptable for review in that the submittal reasonably appear to contain sufficient technical information, both in scope and depth, for the staff to begin the detailed technical review consistent with the time frame described in your correspondence.
Likewise, your amendment request on this subject dated October 20, 2010, has been accepted for full review consistent with LIC-109.
The ongoing review may result in some questions that will need to be addressed informally or formally prior to the completion of the staff's final assessment of the amendment and exemption (TACs ME4911 and ME4912, respectively). I will contact you regarding any need for clarification or requests for additional information.

Subject:

Exemption and TS Change regarding M5 Alloy Fuel Usage (TACs ME4911 and ME4912)

Curt, As we have touched upon informally, I am sending you more this formal indication that in accordance with LIC-109, the NRC staff completed the acceptance review of the exemption request dated October 19, 2010, regarding M5 Alloy Fuel Usage.
