During the Open House, the NRC staff will be available to discuss issues specific to Palisades, including a recent license amendment request (LAR) associated with pressurized thermal shock (PTS), a White finding in the area of radiation protection identified in the fourth quarter of 2014, and the results of an assessment of the Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) in the Security department. As part of a public outreach effort, The Division of Nuclear Materials Safety (DNMS) will also be on hand at the Open House to discuss the NRCs regulation of radioactive materials in non-nuclear reactor applications.

The NRCs Policy Statement, Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, effective May 28, 2002, applies to this meeting. The policy statement may be found on the NRC website, www.nrc.gov, and contains information regarding visitors and security.
Meeting Category:              The Palisades End-of-Cycle performance discussion is a Category 1 meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting and before the meeting is adjourned.
