1/Under the following conditions the maximum discharge temperature shall be limited to 47.2 C(117 F)and the temperature rise to 17.8(32): (1)Condenser and/or circulating water pump maintenance, (2)trottling circulating water pumps to minimize use of chlorine, and (3)fouling of circulating water system.In the event that discharge temperature exceeds 45 C(113oF)permittee shall notify the Chief, Mater Pnforcement Branch-in a manner similar to that provided for in Part II.A.2.2/Total residual chlorine shall not exceed a maximum instantaneous concentration of 0.1 mg/l.In the event that the units cannot be operated at or below this level of chlorination; the permittee may submit a demonstration, based on biological toxicity data, that discharge of higher levels of chlorine are consistant with toxicity requirements of the Florida Mater Quality Standards.
