Subject:

Transmittal of Emergency Preparedness Drill Information Conducted at Fermi 2 Since the 2008 Biennial Exercise In Reference 2, Detroit Edison submitted a request for an exemption from the requirement of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section IV.F.2.b for conducting a biennial emergency preparedness exercise. In Reference 3, Detroit Edison provided a response to NRC request for additional information (RAI) regarding the exemption request.

In an e-mail from Mr. Mahesh Chawla to Mr. Alan Hassoun dated October 29, 2010, the NRC provided Detroit Edison with comments on the information in References 2 and 3.

The comments were discussed in a teleconference meeting between NRC and Detroit Edison representatives on November 4, 2010. Based on the discussion, Detroit Edison

USNRC NRC-10-0078 Page 2 agreed.to provide a summary table for all the emergency preparedness drills conducted at Fermi 2 since the last biennial exercise in 2008. The table is provided in the enclosure to this letter.

There are no new commitments included in this document.
