1. That is correct. The proper phrase is approximately 2000 acres, as stated in Section 3.0 of the MNGP SLR ER. As stated in the note of Table 3.2-1, due to the dataset that was used (e.g.,

Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics Consortium land use/land cover data) there are slight difference in reported acreages due to the dataset being pixel (e.g., square shape) based.

2. Well 1, 197429 (MDH unique Well No.) was originally completed in 1983. Correct, Well 1 was sealed in 2020 due to iron build up on the screen resulting in low productivity of the well water flow. Sealing of Well 1 was not related to the elevated carbon tetrachloride levels detected in Well 10. Well 1 was replaced by Well 13, installed in December 2020.
3. The three items in the attachment referenced were already provided by the docketed letter L-MT-24-005, originally the ML24051A224 ( I believe you and Nancy made some small changes which may have affect the ML#), on February 20, 2024.

Requests for Information to Support DEIS

EXTERNAL - STOP & THINK before opening links and attachments.

Hi Steve, a few questions, comments, and requests.

1. I wanted to confirm that we are using approximately 2000 acres in the DEIS vs 2,050 acres (in Table 3.2-1 attached below). Theres a reference to 2,050 acres in section 3 and just wanted confirmation to make sure our DEIS is consistent throughout when referring to Monticellos footprint.
2. Per our discussion re well 1, I wanted to confirm that well 1, built in 1970s, wasnt built deep enough and doesnt produce enough water. The groundwater has a lot of iron and may have clogged the well. Subsequently, well 1 was sealed in 2020 due to low productivity, unrelated to the elevated carbon tetrachloride levels detected in well 10. Well 1 was replaced by Well 13, installed in December 2020. We discussed this clarification via teams, this info isnt in the ER.
3. Please see the attached email for three items we need on the docket to be able to reference them in the DEIS.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
