The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your submittal dated July 6, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession Number ML23), pertaining to Louisiana Energy Services (LES), doing business as Urenco USA (UUSA) request for exemption from 24-hour reporting requirement of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 70.50(b)(1).

We have completed our acceptance review of the submittal. We have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2023-LLE-0019. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 07003103 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by November 30, 2023. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require approximately 40 staff hours which corresponds to about $11,600.00 (current rate of

$290.00/hr, which will change once the Fiscal Year 2023 Fee Rule is implemented).
