NMSS Reorganization and New Project Manager Assignments Date: Thursday, October 24, 2019 8:28:00 AM Attachments: NMSS Org Chart.pdf NMSS-DFM Fuel Facility Licensing Branch_PM Assignments 2019-10-13.pdf Importance: High This email is to inform you that effective on October 13, 2019, the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) reorganized to merge the Division of Fuel Cycle Safety, Safeguards, and Environmental Review (FCSE) and the Division of Spent Fuel Management and establish Centers of Expertise (COE) within the Division of Rulemaking, Environmental, and Financial Support (REFS).
Attached is an updated organization chart for NMSS.
The new merged division is now named the Division of Fuel Management (DFM). Under this structure, the Fuel Facility Licensing Branch (FFLB) is responsible for the overall management of the licensing program for fuel cycle and greater-than-critical mass facilities. In addition, because of the merger, staff changes, and succession planning considerations, several lead and back-up project manager (PM) assignments were made. Attached is an updated list of FFLB PM assignments.
