Dear David P. Rhoades:

This letter is to inform you that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will conduct an information meeting (open house) with a question-and-answer session on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CDT in the Board room of the Port Byron Municipal Building in Port Byron, Illinois, to present the NRCs assessment of safety performance at the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station for 2022, as described in the 2022 annual assessment letter.

The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting. In addition, members of the NRC will be available to discuss the assessment of performance.
