RE-ISSUE NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING The NRC has changed the date of this upcoming open house meeting from that which was previously communicated in a public meeting notice dated June 28, 2023 (ML23179A180). As a result, the NRC has re-issued the meeting notice in its entirety.
Licensee: Constellation Energy Generation, LLC Facility: Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos: 50254 and 50265 Date and Time: Wednesday, August 23, 2023 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (CDT)
Location: Port Byron Municipal Building (Board Room) 120 S. Main Street Port Byron, IL 61275
Purpose:
The NRC staff will host an open forum to present the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station for 2022, as described in the 2022 annual assessment letter. Following the presentation, the NRC will respond to questions specific to the safety performance of the station and the NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations.
NRC Attendees: Robert Ruiz, Chief, Branch 1, Division of Operating Reactor Safety Christopher Hunt, Senior Resident Inspector, Quad Cities Zachary Coffman, Resident Inspector, Quad Cities Teresa Ray, Resident Office Assistant, Quad Cities Others, as designated Public Participation: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session: The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues.
Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments toward regulatory decisions at this meeting.
