In accordance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix H, Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, doing business as Xcel Energy (hereafter NSPM), hereby submits the enclosed non-proprietary report WCAP-18795-NP, Analysis of Capsule N from the Xcel Energy Prairie Island Unit 2 Reactor Vessel Radiation Surveillance Program.
The enclosed report and the Unit 1 report submitted with Reference 1 will result in changes to the PINGP Pressure and Temperature Limits Report. Following the submittal of Reference 1, NSPM submitted a license amendment request (LAR) to revise PINGP Technical Specifications (TS) 5.6.6, Reactor Coolant System (RCS) PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE LIMITS REPORT (PTLR), to incorporate use of newer approved analytical methods to determine the RCS pressure and temperature limits and Cold Overpressure Mitigation System setpoints. (Reference 2)
Reference 2 included report WCAP-18746-NP, Revision 1, Prairie Island Units 1 and 2 Heatup and Cooldown Limit Curves for Normal Operation, which was prepared using the fl Xcel Energy
Document Control Desk L-Pl-23-002 Page2 proposed methods incorporating the analysis of the Unit 1 Capsule N submitted with Reference 1. The analysis of Unit 2 Capsule N submitted herein resulted in a revision to WCAP-18746-NP. NSPM plans to submit WCAP-18746-NP, Revision 2, in a supplement to the LAR of Reference 2.
