U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ND-22-031 0 Enclosure Page 2 of 4 ITAAC Statement Design Commitment 10.c) The valves identified in Table 2.2.1-1 as having DAS control perform an active safety function after receiving a signal from DAS.

Inspections/Tests/ Analyses Testing will be performed on remotely operated valves listed in Table 2.2.1-1 using real or simulated signals into the DAS.

Acceptance Criteria The remotely operated valves identified in Table 2.2.1-1 as having DAS control perform the active function identified in the table after receiving a signal from DAS.

ITAAC Determination Basis Testing was performed as described in ITAAC Technical Report SV3-CNS-ITR-800113 (Reference 1) to verify that the remotely operated valves identified in Combined License (COL)

Appendix C Table 2.2.1-1 (Attachment A) as having Diverse Actuation System (DAS) control perform an active safety function after receiving a signal from DAS. Testing was performed on the remotely operated valves identified in Attachment A using real signals into the DAS to verify they perform the active function identified in Attachment A after receiving a signal from DAS.

Refe rence 1 confirmed that the containment isolation valves with DAS control received a signal from DAS and performed the active function required. The valves were verified to be open, tested by manually actuating a Containment Isolation signal at the DAS panel in the Main Control Room (MCR) , and verified to perform their active function (transfer closed) by MCR indication and locally at each component. Reference 1 confi rmed that the remotely operated valves identified in Attachment A as having DAS control perform the active function identified in Attachment A after receiving a signal from DAS.

Reference 1 is available for NRC inspection as part of the ITAAC 2.2.01 .1 0c Completion Package (Reference 2) .

ITAAC Finding Review In accordance with plant procedures for ITAAC completion , Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) performed a review of all findings pertaining to the subject ITAAC and associated corrective actions. This review found there were no relevant ITAAC findings associated with this ITAAC . The ITAAC completion review is documented in the ITAAC Completion Package for ITAAC 2.2.01 .10c (Reference 2) and is available for NRC review.

IT AAC Completion Statement Based on the above information, SNC hereby notifies the NRC that ITAAC 2.2.01 .10c was performed for VEGP Unit 3 and that the prescribed acceptance criteria was met.

Systems, structures, and components verified as part of this ITAAC are being maintained in their as-designed, ITAAC compliant condition in accordance with approved plant programs and procedures.
