ossining, NY, 10562 Email: calypsidog@aol.com General Comment The decommissioning process at the Indian Point nuclear plant will effect the residents and environment of the surrounding area now and for generations to come. I'm concerned about a host of issues: spent fuel storage/proposed transportation, radiation monitoring, nearby gas lines, emergency planning and response, financial management. My concern is that Holtec may put their business priorities first.

Therefore, the decommissioning process must have strict governmental oversight, at the federal, state and local levels and include environmental and business watchdog agencies. This oversight must be enforced throughout; from the early planning stages to completion, for as many years as it takes. It must include regular reviews, and clear and transparent communication to the public.

This is literally a matter of life and death; a vital public service, NOT a business opportunity.
