NRC-2018-0109-DRAFT-O 103 Comment on FR Doc# 2018-14121 Name: Jacquelyn Drechsler Address: 116 Sierra Vista Lane Valley Cottage, NY, 10989 Email: jacquiflute456@gmail.com To Whom It May Concern, Submitter Information General Comment As a resident of New York State, having been to many years of public hearings run by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Entergy's Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant in Buchanan, I am outraged about the possibility of allowing nuclear power plant owners to experiment with "new fuel pellets" and fuel rods without any prior NRC review, approval or oversight.

However, this is not just a NIMBY issue. This allowance poses a .. serious risk to residents of any community, near and far, should there be a problem. And there will be a problem.I absolutely

_do not approve of nuclear power plant owners conducting unreviewed and unapproved fuel experiments in my backyard, which in my case is also the back yard to New York City and New York States beautiful and productive agricultural lands. This is a risky experiment that should not be allowed to move forward, especially as nuclear power plants are failing, being decommissioned and shut down. What is the point? Furthermore, tp.e fact that this has been moved forward without appropriate education to the public, public hearings, lack of notice and an appropriate comment period is unconscionable.

Sincerely, , Jacquelyn Drechsler
