LAR-21-001 markup for ITAAC Index No. 68

Amy, This email is to document that NRC finds the markup submitted in the August 24, 2021 License Amendment Request (LAR) LAR 21-001* specifically for ITAAC Index No. 68 contains non-standard language for this type of change and to inform you that, if the LAR is approved, ITAAC Index No. 68 would be edited by NRC to reflect the way as has been done for similar changes.

That is, if approved, the NRC edit would reflect that the Design Commitment to show the text, for Unit 3, Not used per Amendment No. XX2 (and similarly for Unit 4). The staff views this as an editorial change that would not in any way change the technical aspect of the ITAAC but would only be to conform with precedent and to eliminate the confusion that may be created if the license reflected the text as shown in the markup for ITAAC Index No. 68.

This email does not predispose or obligate NRC to approve the subject LAR.
