- John, SNC is requesting Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval of a correction of a typographical error in the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (Vogtle) Unit 1 and 2 Technical Specifications (TS). This typographical error was submitted with requested TS clean pages for License Amendments 223 and 206 for Vogtle Units 1 and 2 (ADAMS Accession No. ML23317A207). The typographical error was introduced when clean-typed TS pages for TS 5.6.5.b were inadvertently revised to omit the WCAP-17661-P-A Rev. 1 reference that was added for the previous Amendment 222 and 205 (ADAMS Accession No. ML23317A207). The TSTF-339 LAR (Amendment 223/206) revised this page to add two new references, but the clean page for TS 5.6.5.b did not account for the recent Amendment 222/205 addition of WCAP-17661-P-A, Revision 1 to same page. A CR was written late last week to document this error, and the new TS clean page for TS 5.6.5.b is attached to correct Amendment 223/206.
Note that Amendments 222/205 and 223/206 have not been implemented yet, but both will be implemented for Unit 1 during Vogtles upcoming outage, which begins on Sept. 8, 2024.
Im also providing a corrected copy of TS 5.5.23, to remove the continued notation at the end of the specification. I left you a voicemail concerning this correction earlier today. This formatting error was inadvertently introduced during submittal of the requested TS clean pages for the Online Monitoring license amendment (Amendment 218/201).
Please let me know if a formal request from SNC (i.e., a correction letter) is needed or whether you can make these corrections without a letter.
