- Ken, The NRC staff is requesting a phone call with SNC regarding the proposed Vogtle 3&4 Tier 1 and Tier 2* exemptions and LAR.
The NRC staff would like to convey two potential safety concerns:
o A gap in the Tier 2 change process for non-ex-vessel severe accident features was addressed for AP1000 by ensuring sufficient details were in Tier 1, and o Factors determining whether Tier 2* expires were whether Tier 1 would govern these areas.
Please provide SNCs availability for this phone call. Please provide multiple days and times, so I can find a mutually agreeable time to have the call.
