DearSirs:

Subject:

PaloVerdeNuclear Generating Station Units1,2,and3 License Nos.NPF-41,NPF-51 and NPF-74 DocketNos.STN50-528,50-529, 50-530 EmergencyCoreCooling System Performance Evaluation Models,10CFR50.46(a)(3)(ii)

Annual Report for2020 Pursuant to10CFR50.46(a)(3)(ii),

ArizonaPublic Service Company (APS) is providing asummaryofthecumulative effects oncalculated peak cladding temperature (PCT) forthePaloVerdeNuclear Generating Station (PVNGS) dueto changes orerrors inemergency corecooling systemperformance evaluation models (EM).

Duringcalendar year(CY) 2020therewerenonewchanges to,orerrors discovered in,theWestinghouse large breaklossofcoolant accident (LBLOCA)

1999EM, which isa 10CFRPart50,Appendix K,EM.Thereweretwominorerrors discovered in the application oftheFramatomeLBLOCAEMF-2103, Revision 3,EMforUnit2,which is a realistic (or bestestimate plusuncertainty)

EM.However, thecumulative sumof theabsolute magnitudes ofAPCTassessments, forallchangesanderrors identified sinceperformance oftheWestinghouse andFramatomeLBLOCAanalyses was0 0F throughout CY2020forallthree PVNGSunits.

Therewerenochangesorerrors thataffected PCTinthesmallbreakLOCA calculations forPVNGSUnits1,2,and3forCY2020.Additionally, because PCTis notcalculated aspartofthepost-LOCA long-term cooling (LTC)

analysis, there are nochangesorerrors intheLTCmodelsthataffect PCT.

Theenclosure provides a moredetailed discussion oftheabsolute PCTeffects inthe evaluation modelsforpressurized waterreactors ECCSperformance analyses inCY 2020forPVNGS.
