Dear Mr.Draxton:

Please beadvised that thisUnion is the collective bargaining representative ofthe current production andmaintenance employees atthe Indian Point Energy Center. Below areourquestions which wewould like tohave answered atthe Public Meeting tobeheld onTuesday, September 22, 2020:

1. Holtec does notappear tohave much, iafny, experience indecommissioning nuclear power plants; andtheanticipated saleofanother Entergy plant toHoltec for decommissioning is being challenged bytheState ofMassachusetts and12otherstates, including theNew YorkState Attorney General. Given thatbackground, including thelikely lawsuit bythis State'sAttorney General ifEntergy sellsIndianPoint toHoltec, which would delay any decommissioning work, whywould such asale beinthebest interests ofthepublic?
2. What assurance, ifany, hastheNRCreceived from either Entergy orHoltec thatHoltec willhire the current Indian Point workers, whoarefamiliar with theplants, havekept them safe allthese years andwill continuetohave avested interest inprotecting thepublic throughout the lengthy decommissioning process?
3. Whatinformation, ifany, hasHoltec provided that it willsafely dispose ofthespent fuel rods andthe other radioactivematerialfrom Indian Point?
4. Howwill Holtec transport thespent fuel rods andother radioactive material from indianPoint toits designated storage facility?

What, if anything, has Holtec provided which shows thatany andall such transportation bedonesafely, will with nopossibility ofleakage which canharm people ortheenvironment?

5. What, ifany, assuranceandinformation does theNRChave which guarantees that Holtechas -

orwill havesufficient funds tocomplete thedecommissioning ofIndian Point without having tocutcorners sothat thejobiscompleted within Holtec's budget?

6. With r egard tothe AIMgasline, whataction has the NRCtaken toassure that itwillnot endanger theIndian Pointfacility and, thus, the public? Weareadvised that theNRC's Inspector General hasfound thattheprior approval process wasdeeply flawed. Whatsteps have been taken tohave anewreview process which isnotflawed?

Ilook forward toparticipating atthemeeting. Thank youfor your anticipated consideration.

Verytruly yours, William Smith, V.P.
