Allowing such a transfer to a company with a record of poor operating practices and a lack of experience in decommissioning nuclear power plants would be irresponsible and would place large numbers of people at risk while threatening to cause severe and permanent harm to the environment. Entergy should be held accountable for decommissioning a plant that it has owned and operated for years. Do not allow Entergy to dump their obligations to the public on a company that is ill equipped and unsuitable to handle the dangerous job of dismantling the Indian Point nuclear power plants.
