STORAGE OF' SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL IN NRC-APPROVED STORAGE CASKS AT NUCLEAR POWER REACTOR SITES The. Office of Administration and Resources Management concurs, 4 subject to the comments provided, in the proposed rule that would amend 10 CFR Part 72 to provide for the storage of spent fuel at nuclear power reactor sites without the need for additional site-specific approvals..We have enclosed a marked-up copy of the proposed rule that presents a number of editorial corrections. The proposed rule contains information collection requirements that must be approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The clearance package requesting OMB review and approval of these information collection requirements must be forwarded to OMB before the proposed rule may be submitted for signature and~ publication in the Federal Register. In addition, OMB published an amendment to its regulations implementing the Paperwork Reduction Act on May 10, 1988. This amendment requires each agency to provide added information in the Paperwork Reduction Act Statement that appears in rulemaking documents containing new or amended information collection requirements. We have enclosed the correct language for insertion in this proposed rule as part of our mark-up. Preparation of the clearance package and completion of the added language should be coordinated with the Records and Reports Management Branch, Division of Information Support Services, ARM. The proposed rule contains conforming. amendments to 10 CFR Part 170 concerning the establishment and revision of categories and fees. The proposed amendments to 10 CFR 170.31 and 170.32 must be 4 coordinated with the License Fee Management Branch, Division of Accounting and Finance, ARM to resolve any remaining issues concerning the organization and content of these provisions. kDO'0[j240890526 50 S4pg39379 PDR qj I y >< TM@ama
