DRAFT PROPOSED RULE, " STORAGE OF SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL IN I
NRC APPROVED STORAGE CASKS AT CIVILIAN NUCLEAR POWER REACTOR SITES, 10 CFR PARTS 2, 51, 72, 73, 75, AND 170 !
This draft proposed rule contains numerous new reporting and recordkeeping.
requirements in 10 CFR 72 that must be submitted to the Office of. Management and Budget (OMB) before publishing the proposed rule. Included in these requirements are two new forms, NRC Fonn XXX first appearing in $72.411 and NRC Form XXXX first appearing in 972.501, that also must be submitted for OMB approval and must be designed to meet GSA and Agency standards.
Sections 72.411(h) and 72.505(d) contain recordkeeping requirements that do not specify the record retention period. Retention periods must be added to the proposed rule before it is published and must conform _to the four uniform retention _ periods of 3, 5,10 years or life that are included in the
" Retention Periods for Records" final rule that is slated for publication within the month.
