In our letter 83ESG-0008 dated January 17, 1983,' which described our requirements for future applications for amendments to our SNM-21 License, we indicated plans to initiate a program of decladding, cleaning, and repackaging the irradiated blanket material from the EBR-II reactor. This program will be conducted in the Energy Systems i
Group Hot Laboratory located at the Nuclear Development Field Labora-tory site in accordance with activities presently authorized under our SNM-21 License. Therefore, we are enclosing six copies of ' AI-74-44, i
Supplement 5, "Special Nuclear Material Control Program for EBR-II Blanket Fuel Decladding," dated July 1,1983, for your review and approval. This Nuclear Material Control and Accounting Plan for the EBR-II Blanket Decladding Program has been prepared to supplement plans submitted previously in Documents AI-74-12, AI-74-44, and AI 15 referenced above.
