Measurement Control Program Contractor Reviews Docket 70-25 Section 70.57(b)(3) of 10 CFR Part 70 requires that a licensee perform reviews to determine the adequacy of contractor's program and audits to verify conformance with all aspects of a measurement control program.
Teledyne Isotopes of Westwood, New Jersey, has been used by Energy Systems Group for obtaining isotopic analyses since 1974. Audits and reviews of Teledyne's activities have been completed by us on an annual basis as required by the above sections of 10 CFR 70.
j However, with the completion of our current fabrication operations on highly enriched fuel for the ATR and TRTR programs at our facility, we feel that the expenditure of effort and resources for an audit and review normally conducted at Teledyne at this time of the year is unnecessary and would serve no useful purpose.
The last analysis for us was completed by Teledyne in October 1982, and we do not have any known additional requirements in the foreseeable future.
Therefore, we request that we be granted relief from the contractor review and audit require-ment cited above.
