/ ~ REPORT OF' INTERVIEW

.- WITH ROBERT SPANGLER On August 2,1985 Robert SPANGLER TUGC0 Supervisor of QA Services, was -

interviewed by NRC Investigator H. Brooks GRIFFIN in Dallas, Texas. SPANGLER was represented during this interview by Robert WOOLDRIDGE, attorney.

SPANGLER said he had been a TUGC0 employee for three years and had joined the QA group in May 1984.

• SPANGLER was questioned about his knowledge o.f the 1978 MAC report, and said

, that Andy JONES (Texas Utilities attorney) notified him in 1985 that he had discovered the existence of the 1978 MAC report during the prudency audit.

SPANGLER said that he told J0NES during their discussion that he believed a decision had been made within the utility that the MAC report was proprietary. "

SPANGLER said he suggested to J0NES that he consult David CHAPMAN (TUGC0 QA Manager) .to determine how the MAC report related to the requirements of the prudency audit.

SPANGLER said he first became aware of the existance of the MAC report in about May 1984 when he first joined the QA group.
