..c On August 2,1985. Thomas ROSE, Senior TUGC0 Engineer, was interviewed by NRC Investigator H. Brooks Griffin in Dallas, Texas. ROSE was. represented during this interview by Robert WOOLDRIDGE (an attorney for the utility). . ROSE said he began his employment with Texas Utilities in June 1976 and became a TUGC0 employee in October 1984. ROSE said his iimmediate , supervisor was (fomer SCHMIDT.

ROSE said that in October 1984, a prudency team was fomed under SCHMIDT. ROSE -

said that his participation on the prudency team involved review of documents '

that the team located at the Comanche Peak site, and the utility's corporate headquarters. ROSE said he was aware that in the latter part of April 1985 Andy JONES discovered the 1978 MAC report during the prudency audit, and said that JONES notiified him of the existence of the report as it related to the prudency audit. .

ROSE said that in early May 1985, he received a copy of the MAC report. ROSE said that CHAPMAN asked him to review the report before it was sent to the consulting fim of CRESAP, McCORMICK, and PAGET. ROSE said he recalled reviewing the report with JONES in Homer SCHMIDT's office. ROSE said that JONES and he were in agreement that management needed to review the report as it related to the prudency audit. ROSE said that he later discussed the report with SCHMIDT, and said they decided that it should be reviewed by the Senior Review C.ossnittee (SRC).

hi ROSE s.tated that the SRC held a meeting on May 10, 1985. ROSE said that SPENCE d'/ (TUGC0 President), FIXAR (TUGC0 Executive Vice President) and WOOLDRIDGE were present during this meeting, but did not discuss the,MAC report. ROSE said he provided WOOLDRIDGE with a copy of the report after the meeting. ROSE said the only other involvement.or conversatiions he had regarding the MAC report was when he was interviewed by WOOLDRIDGE during.the utility's internal investiga-tion. .
