The enclosed draft wording, which you provided, has been forwarded to E. Rossi for consideration in future changes.

1. Deletepresent50.72(b)(1)(1)(B).
2. Renumber present 50.72(b)(1)(1)(A) to 50.72(b)(1)(i).
3. Deletepresent50.73(a)(2)(1)(C).
4. Create new 50.72a to read as follows:

50.72a Inunediate notification requirements for all Part 50 licensees.

Each licensee licensed under g50.21 or g50.22 shall notify the NRC Operations Center by telephone of emergency circumstances requiring it to take any pro-tective action that departs from a license condition or a technical specifi-cation, as permitted by g50.54(x) of this part. When time permits, the notification must be made before the protective action is taken; otbrwise, the notification must be made as soon as possible thereafter. The Commission may require written statements from a licensee concerning its actions taken under the provisions of paragraph 50.54(x) of this part.
