Scope /

Purpose:

This project is to provide technical support to the Reactor Systems Branch in reviewing the accuracy and completeness of the Seabrook PRA.

BNL will perform a critical revfew ST the plant design and PRA methods supplemented by audit calculations of selected accident sequences to con-firm the validity of the methods and results.

Work Performed During Period:

Work was initiated during this period on the review of the PRA.

BNL staff together with the NRC project manager participated in a comprehen-sive tour of the Seabrook plant site.

None.

4 Summary of Progress to Date/ Milestones:

See Item 2.

Next Reporting Period:

Work will continue of the review of the PRA document.

Specifically, the containment leak and radiological release characteristics will be ex-amined, since it appears that the treatment of the containment perfor-mance and radiological release behavior for the Seabrook PRA is con-siderably different than the previously reviewed PRAs.
