Scope /Purcose:
The scope of this work will be limited to addressing immediate NRC/MRR li-censing concerns using the state-of-the art codes and the analyses and ex-perimental data developed fron NRC/RES and other R&D orograms. The analy ses provided under this contract helped form the basis for the licensin decisions required on the Westinghouse Standard Plant, FDA (PRA portion and the CESSAR-System 80 CDA review (PRA portion) with respect to severe accident considerations.

A brief meeting was held with the NRC Project Manager to discuss the FY 85 work schedule for this project.

1 The Westinghouse Standard Plant (SP-90) will not be submitted until later i
in FY 85 so that work on this project has been deferred.

Scope /Pursose:
The scope of this work will be limited to addressing immediate NRC/NRR licensing concerns using the state-of-the-art codes and the analyses and experimental data developed from NRC/RES and other R&D programs.
The analyses provided under this contract helped form the basis for positions taken by the NRL staff JtsJelated to questions raised by the Commission, hearing board and intervenors as part of the Indian Point Hearina.
Al so,
the analyses will provide input to the NRC staff's review of the Indian Point Probabilistic Safety Study (IPPSS) and the Zion Probabilistic Safety Study ~12P55).

Work Performed 1)urino Period:
A neeting was held with the NRC Project Manager to discuss the final ver-sion of Volume 2 of NUREG/CR ~3*300.
A revised sunmary section will be sent to NRC prior to publication of the report.
The final form of. the Indian Point documentation was also discussed dur-ing the meeting.
It was decided to aim for a final report by March 31,
~19B4, which would require a me-rest extension to this project.

Scope /
Purpose:
This project is to provide technical support to the Reactor Systems Branch in reviewing the accuracy and completeness of the Seabrook Proba-bilistic Safety Study (SPSS).
BNL will perfonn a critical review of the plant design and PRA methods supplemented by audit calculations of selec-i ted accident sequences to confi nn the validity of the methods and results.

Work continued on the review of the containment characteristics, hydrogen l
behavior, and interplant comparisons.
A meeting was also held with the NRC Project Manager on the direction of the BNL review.
