Beaver Valley Fower Station Unit No. 2 Docket No. 50-412 Completion of Seismic and Dynamic Qualification of Safety-Related Equipment for BVPS-2 Gentlemen:

This letter is provided to the NRC/NRR staff as a notification that the Seismic and Dynamic Qualification of Safety-Related Equipment for BVPS-2 has 1{

been completed with the exception of final equipment and system tests on the three (3) Main Steam Isolation Valves (MSIV's).

These MSIV's have been completely installed and it is anticipated that the equipment and system tests will be in progress by fuel load (May 21,1987) with completion shortly there-after. Criticality will not occur until testing has been completed.

Appropriate preservice tests that are required for fuel load have either been completed or a 10CFR50.59 safety evaluation is being submitted to the NRC for review.

The above information is being provided to assist the staff in completing the Seismic Equipment Qualification section of the BVPS-2 SER.
