The Preservice Testing and Inservice Testing Programs for pumps and valves are the subjects of Safety Evaluation Report (SER) open item (1),
Reference 1.
The Preservice Testing Program was submitted by Reference 2.
This letter transmits the "early" BVPS-2 initial,10 year interval, Inservice Testing (IST) Program for pumps and valves.
The transmittal incl udes:
- 1. )
ASME Section XI Pump and Valve Administrative Procedure, Chapter 3.7, Revision 2.
2.)
Inservice Testing Plan for Pumps and Valves, Revison 0 (including relief requests).
It should be noted that although the identified ASME XI Code /Edi-tion is 1980 through winter 1980 Addenda in the Administrative Procedure, the 83 summer 83 is identified in the IST Pl an.
The final submittal will incorporate a later Code / Edition update in accordance with 10CFR 50.55 a (g)(i).
The final IST submittal is scheduled for approximately six months prior to fuel load. The changes between this "early" submittal and the final submittal are expected to be minor.

Comments on the program and a confirmatory status on SER open item (1) are requested by July 1,1986. Resolved comments will be incorporated in the final submittal.
The Preservice Inspection (PS I) and Inservice Inspection (IS I)
Programs are the subjects of SER Open Item (4), Reference 1.
The Preservice Inspection Program was submitted by Reference 2.
Reference 3 states that the NRR Staff review of the PSI program will be completed early this summer.
Comments on the program and a confirmatory status on the PSI part of SER open item (4) are requested by July 1,1986. Resolved comments on the PSI Program l
will be appropriately incorporated in the ISI Program submittal.
