SUBJECT:
DAILY HIGHLIGHT DIABLO CANYON Diablo Canyon Unit I went critical early Sunday Mor.ning (12:07 am).
The unit is currently in Operational. Mode 2 at less than 1 percent power.
Zero power physics testsare being conducted. A small loss of RCS inventory (about 1 gpm) was noticed early Sunday morning.
The cause was that a valve in the CVCS diverted fluid to the liquid hold up tank. After securing the valve the loss was tenninated. The licensee, in accordance with Tech. Spec. requirements, declared an unusual event, which was cancelled shortly thereaf ter.
