1.0 REFEPH.CES 1-A CP-EI-4.5-4 'Ibchnical Services Engineering Instruction For Pipe Hanger Design Review and Certification 2.0 GENERAL 2.1 PURPOSE To establish the cuidelines by which the HEDR (Hanger Engineering Data Report) is updated, controlled, and distributed within Engineering.

2.2 SCOPE tis instruction shall te implemented for all Pipe Supports within the Building 2 as-built (I.E. 79-14) program. l 2.3 hESIONSIBILI'IY The CPP Pipe Support Engineer (who reports to the Engineering Manager)  !

is responsible for providing technical direction aM administrative I guidance to the CPP Pipe Support Engineering organization of which the Technical Services Group is a part. j The Technical Services Group Supervisor is responsible for assuring that activities within the purpose aM scope of this instruction are completed in accordance with the measures described herein.

'Ite TSDPI (Technical Services Design Review Engineering) Supervisor is responsible for implementation of this instruction. 'Ihe TSDRE Supervisor shall coordinate work flow through the group, interface activities and maintain adecuate tracking mechanisrs to assure positive control of activities addressed in this section and in conjunction with Feference 1-A. ]

3.0 INSTRUCTION' 3.1 00NTENT OF HEDR Completed HEDR shall consist of the following:

HEDR Update Number  !

Support Number and Current Revision Number Stress Problem Number and Current Revision Numoer Data Point Icadings (Forces and Moments)

Source of Icads (CPPA, GIN, .. .etc. ) .

Movements K-Values for tension and compression (if applicable)

Type of Support and if it is Skewed Pipe Temperature

  • Insulation Type and nickness*

Spring / Snubber Data (Hot Settings)

Reference Drawings

  • Miscellaneous Data (Turnover Number, Minimum Flmbed for HILTIS,...etc.)* ,

Calculation Revision Number Stress Report Revision Number (if applicable)

Scope

  • 2ese items are for information only.

3.2 UPDATE HEDR shall be updated each time the support drawing is revised, a new revision of the stress analysis is issued, or any change in Engineering l information is required.

I Update will be made using a HEDR input form (See Attachment A) which will l be filled out by a drafter, technician, or engineer within PSE and upon

! completion, initialed and dated. We input shall then te forwarded to

[ the TSCO (Technical Services Computer Operator) tor input. After data ,

[ has been input, the TSCO shall run a printout of this data and return it )

! and the input form to the cognizant hanger engineer who then shall review '

the printout for accuracy. Upon cocpletion of this review, he shall initial and date the HEDR printout and it shall be filed in the Hanger Calculation Package. I
3.3 CONTROILED ISSUE AND DISTRIB(IIION  ;

L i i Periodic distribution of the HEDR Master Printout shall be made by Technical '

l Services. Distribution shall tn limite3 to the following unless other-I wise approved by 'ISDRE Supervisor Dr Technical Services Group Suoervisor.
